I have better luck with cast iron than that non-stick garbage.

I think all my helmets have been Snell certified. I read the The Hurt Report back in the 80's

Had burgers and hot dogs on the grill cooked by my BIL with potato salad and beans at my FILs. I'm stuffed. Then stopped by to see Mom just for a bit tonight since I'm pooped.

Waiting for the first load of laundry to finish now. Enjoying a Kristoff Corona Limitada and a Fireball shooter out on the back porch in a nice summer breeze as the last light fades, watching lightning bugs and listening to the crickets. The neighborhood possum bumbled away when I came out the back door.

    Not available in AZ.

LOL was picking up a utility trailer for cheap today.

We somehow got to talking about solar systems to run constant load stuff. His daughter got some 100 watt panels from some dude that was upgrading his system for $15 a pop. Got a link forwarded to me for the panels. Seller says all his stash with inverters should make a 4kw system, can take it all for $550.

Tempting.... Especially since now that I have the trailer I can drag it all 800 miles north to the house. Would then just have to scavenge up a bunch of lead acid batteries.

    That's a heck of a deal for a Schuberth.

Yep for me the key is to not try to push stuff back into the grid. Keep grid usage down to high wattage stuff like the 240 appliances.

I will be focused on minimizing how much I pull from the grid.

For me most of the other brands just don't fit right. Most others are made for spherical noggins. My skull is oval shaped and the Shuberth just fits right.

Many years ago when we had the cabin, we got lucky and scored a bunch of batteries from the phone company. They were decommissioning some old analog switches. Big lead acid units, like 2ft x 3ft x 3ft blocks. They were only 6 volts. Can’t remember if we did 24 or 48 volt banks. Been too long. For some reason 6 rows of 4 comes to mind. Had them sitting on horse mats, that I do remember.
