Thank you that's soooo useful....:biggrin_2552: lol

I know how to get refer and def, I forgot to add refer to the transaction and company only authorized one transaction. So after fueling the truck and realizing it wasn't asking me to fill my refer, it was an oh sheit moment. Tried to run the card again and it was declined. Would've had to call Dispatch to re-open up the card for the location to fill up the refer and piss off all the drivers behind me waiting to fuel. So I just skipped it since the refer was above 3/4 anyways.

I fuel up at least 3 times a week. I already fueled up twice since Thursday. Usually 50 gallons here or top off. But a trick to it that I learned is skip all fuel stops at a terminal. I have probably 6 shower credits on my pilot card and one at loves. Depends how fuel efficient your truck is too. My volvo gets like 7 mpg and has 2 100 tanks that I never top off to the max. Another tip there too.. I like showering everyday whether at home or on the road. There really isn't a valid excuse to be skip showers for so long

Yea I'll probably do that, I just don't want to piss all of the Dispatch off being new and everything. But I really don't want to be paying for showers every other day. That cuts a lot out of my paycheck when you add it all up. Seems to me if they would just authorize an amount of fuel at a location rather than the number of transactions, then I could fill up 50 gallons, end the transaction and start another one to get the most shower points out of my fuel up. Then I wouldn't have to worry about showers. Would probably start building up extras that I don't use.

Think you'll forget about it again..? Who says you have to fill up..? treat it like you own it and after profit in your pocket not in the fuel tank.. my rig gets apprix 1200 per fill up depending on weight ,road conditions etc

And as you probably already know, shower credits expire after 7 days usually.

When you have been with the company a little ask your dispatcher to open up your fuel card. They can up your limit if not the fuel manager in just a few seconds. They keep tight reins on new drivers to make sure they are honest and they ain't stealing fuel. If you haven't heard on the CB yet you will where some mad quitting driver will offer fuel at half price. That's one reason you are limited until they build trust in you. Ignore them little stops if you can. Them fuel programs will run you on empty tanks. I don't like running below a 1/4.

Dude you are doing too much thinking. There is no trick. The thing is to take a shower every couple of days. or You pay for a shower. Or you get a card board sign that says. I shower 3 times a day and can somebody donate me an unwanted shower. Or ask everybody in the truck stop. Really dude how dirty are you getting pulling a reefer. This is trucking buddy. Taking showers won't get you no street cred. You can't smell like a rookie forever. Get with the program. Smell like a trucker :)
