    Indianapolis at a Mr. Fuel

I think I found my new favorite truck stop chain. The prices of just about everything here are not outrageously high like the other extortionist chains. Unfortunately there are not a lot of them and not all of them have showers. But there are a couple of them on some of my routes so I think I'll frequent them a little more.

Btw diesel is $3.57 at Mr. Fuel in Indy right now.

Oklahoma City at a J. Picked up a load in Jenks at Kimberly Clark.
I've done a couple loads out of there, and I love it. Easy in, easy out. 30 minutes max.

Tomorrow I'll finish my load to 'the moon'.
I said I'd be there at 1500. I hope 62MPH is good enough.

Just hoping the A/C works up there. I need to breathe!

I've always wanted to rip the Kimberly Clark fixtures off the walls in their bathrooms and replace them with the ones I ripped (not really) from Georgia Pacific's bathrooms and vice versa lol.

En route, Dallas TX - Oakland CA

yesterday when I got back to the dc from Lathrop the site manager asked me to go down to Fontana and help the Target dc there for a couple days, I guess swift took over the account and Ryder who was the carrier bailed on them early screwing them and most of the swift drivers werent starting until Sunday or Monday I think he told me. So I took my load to Grenada Hills and then back to the dc to drop the trailer and still had 3 hours left of drive time since my day went nice and smooth so I quickly bobtailed down to the TA in Ontario and had him open fuel so I could get free parking and a shower then saw the restaurant here is 24 hours unlike the buttonwillow one so I had a late dinner too. The bad thing is since swift is just now taking over there are no driver directions or drivers to talk to about stores so besides Google maps im going in half blind, first store so far will be Santee near San Diego. Google maps shows it looks like a fairly easy store, I will look into the directions of the qc and a further look on the maps before proceeding later today. A driver on my fleet I guess has delivered to some of these stores and told me to deny a load to Torrence because its very hard even with a day cab and also stay away from culver city. As long as they dont send me to a store a daycab should be doing then I should be fine.

Actually, I like that Kimberly Clark. I've been there 3 times.
They are one of the easiest and friendliest shippers out there. They don't want you on the property more than 30 minutes, and their system makes that possible for a drop 'n hook.
Just be sure to come in with a clean mt.

I'm near Los Lunas, NM, doing a 34 after delivering to the Walmart DC.

The Walmart there does not allow truck parking for more than a few minutes in a very small area of the lot, and I had just enough time to get to exit 215 where the casino is before my 70 ran out. I was down to 10 minutes when I pulled in.
Only 5 hours coming in tomorrow, so I figured I would do a 34 to get back my full hours.
I seem to get better loads if I'm not relying on hours cycling back in each day.

So I stopped here at the gas station since it has a few truck spaces.
Then I can't get an internet connection with my Verizon Jetpack. It connected a couple times, but then just lost the connection.
I was able to access the Jetpack web page from my computer, though, so I had the tech support number.
It sure was nice to talk to Dana, and not someone in India that had such a heavy accent that I could barely understand the speech.
She diagnosed the problem and had me up and running in about 10 minutes.
It seems the latest software update for the Jetpack messes with some SIM cards in a bad way, but she seems to have worked around the problem.
All in all, I'm very impressed with Verizon.

    Lake Havasu City AZ.

109 degrees, so hot poor Abby's feet can't handle the blacktop. I have to carry over to the desert sand. Every time we come here we hike up to Terribles to see the resident kitty lol. We saw another cat back at the Hopi truck stop, it looked like our cat Jacko back home. Abby got too close to kitty and he scratched her nose.

Not that you would want to take your 34 at the DC, but isn't Las Lunas a Swift run DC? If so don't they have a BT parking area? ... If so you can just park with the other BTs.

On the 55 at the MO/AR state line ... heading to TX and then to CO.

Sure, and be without coffee in the morning while on a 34.
    No thanks.

I'll always try to find something better than parking in a wasteland.
