Did an early morning shag/live unload in Houston, then picked up another going to Mechanicsburg, PA. So far this year I've been pretty lucky avoiding the weather.

Consider yourself lucky. Over the past 4 days I've been driving through IA, IL, MN and ND. Almost all of it well below zero... I was lucky enough to see a balmy 14 degrees rolling through Minneapolis this morning but now I'm in ND and it's back below zero again. At least now I have a good mileage trip to (somewhat) warmer OR to look forward to...

I think it took 6 preplans to get a load headed home.

All 200 plus mile deadhead and delivered at least 300 miles from home.

But on try 6, 200 plus mile deadhead and delivers 10 miles from home.

Don't feel bad, the overhead signs west of Sealy, TX had a caution for possible icy conditions. (Yes, some of us read those). Icicles on the Alamo...freekin' global warming my big 'ole butt!!!

Go figure...these Co's always seem to pull that...crap loads then when you request to go home a great run pops up...I've had that happen and still go home...I don't fall for that crap...

Winter in Indiana, huh...I just brought a load in to the Indy yard for t-call. Not sure why they wanted it done here, as it goes to Quakertown, PA and does not have a real long time on it...and it should be a drop in PA. But they had me do it, so I am now at Indy for the night. It was a long day, from Spiceland this morning, to Edwardsville, IL then Warrenton, MO and back to Indy. (about 630 miles) Going to bed now...
