That is the way our company works. If the elog is down for whatever reason we do paper. It gets scanned and emailed to the log department and the enter it manually.

like pulling up a few feet from the fuel island it was log you driving and you can't edit it.
I'm a team driver and you need Internet connection to log in and out for team drivers. While in the middle of nowhere that was not possible and it screwed up our logs.
Worst of all is the app will crash when it doesn't get system updates. It will not record driving time nor let you manually enter in driving time when the system stops working.
I found out there MUST be peroids the truck engine is off and you have Internet connection for keeptrucking to get system updates or else it will eventually crash.
As team drivers we go 24/7 and never rarely turn the truck off, so the app never got the update and it messed us up real bad.
There's other reasons it sucks but you get the idea.mhyn Thanks this. -
I ordered the Omnitracs IVG it’s a hard wired system.

Bigroad you pay by user/account
so you pay for drivers AND office
Keeptrucking you pay for the devices
so you ca have 40 drivers and 10 in the office with 35 trucks
5 trucks are canada only who dot need a eld
so with KT you pay only for the 30 trucks ..
on BR yo pay for 50 Accounts!! -

I've called them couple days ago and if I've ore or ordered right away they said I'd get it after new years.
Company I'm leased onto got Zonar units @$995/unit + $27 a month depending which options you get, GPS, speed monitiring, etc. -
I just received my Big Road ELD. I got it through NASTC. I've used the app for a couple years as a paper alternative. I can't offer any input on performance...yet. I can say I like the app. Hope I continue to, now that I'm committed.
On a side note, is anyone actually putting the ELD stickers on the side of their trucks? -
Window stickers. Heck no. I will put them just in the dash on each side of the windshield (not stuck on) and remove them later. -
Is it a requirement to have stickers?. Cuz I think just about everyone will have them that isn't exempt.

When you roll through a weigh station, they might see stickers and not pull you over to see if you are compliant
