If you are not familiar with a non compete contract, you need to be.

    I'll summarize for you:

CRST says, "Attend our school for three thousand dollars. But there won't be a charge if you stay with us for a year. However, if you quit, or are fired by us for any reason, and we enjoy a good firing, you will owe us that three thousand dollars. You will not be able to get another trucking job due to the non compete contract you signed."

Does this sound reasonable, fair, equal, or even legal? It isn't, BUT, since our legal system is so corrupt, CRST can successfully sue other companies (like Swift) for hiring drivers that ditched Crusty.

I can hear John Mellencamp singing now about America, home of the free.

Let's compare now with Western Express, or Welfare Express as I like to refer to them due to their miserly ways.

WSXI will train you and put you in your own truck when training is complete.

Crusty will force you to team with a complete stranger with whom you may or may not get along with.

WSXI will keep you busy with endless 200 to 500 mile loads.

Crusty will give you decent loads, but can and will inconvenience you at anytime by having you drop whatever load you were on and picking up a less profitable load.

Your WSXI dispatcher might work with you in some ways, but not others.

Your Crusty dispatcher will work with you until that fateful day that you screw up and upset him or her. And you inevitably WILL screw up. After that, your dispatcher will work tirelessly plotting your destruction.

I've worked for both companies and experienced their cruelty firsthand.

You'll have a better experience, in my opinion, at Welfare Express than at Crusty.

Where is your location; state and nearest town?
    Maybe some more choices.

Makes me glad I didn't sign up with CRST.. and I thought Roehl's contract was bad.. get fired the day after signing contract? Now you owe us $7,000. At least Roehl lets you work somewhere else though if they fire you/you quit.

For heavens sake just pay the $3000 tuition. That is a steal compared to what these other schools charge...

For $3000 you get housing for the duration of training and tuition!!! YOU WILL NOT find that at roadmaster or any other school out there!!!!
