I still see them vechicles with the engineers today , obviously some minor upgrades , but look identical just flat tan now.
Now that's a spiffy toy to tool around in. Being a sailor I'm not keen on the idea of needing to use it with bullets flying past my ear, but that's why I went swab jockey to begin with. DO really like the truck though. <chuckle>
I was in the Navy too but you know the Seabees go ashore and very seldom at sea. No protection from bullets but we had it to modify for the EOD community. We were going to remote control it so they could move big bombs but our funding ran out. I will say that being stationed at an R&D facility was a blast. You ever run a D-8 dozer by remote control?
