Has Anyone ever hit something at a Shipper/Receiver?

That's the problem; that company will use you to remodel the whole dock area; every scratch and dent will be blamed on you. "Sorry, there was sub-surface damage also that we didn't see until we started the repairs."

 

I don't know; I still would have denied it and become enraged that they were trying to use me for a scapegoat. My job and hard earned money is more important than their whining. Plenty more trucking jobs available anyway.

 

because you took off, with out reporting it. they WILL SAY, you did ALL that damage, and from that point, since it was a hit and run with property damage, the insurance company and your company are in shackles.

 

I once saw a SWIFT truck leaving a PFJ cut the exit corner too close, got a big rock caught in front of his tandems, and kept going onto the freeway dragging the rock. Ignored everybody honking at him until a cop pulled him over. You just can't fix stupid.

 

Bystander: “Hey Driver, you know you gotta big ole rock on your ICC bumper?”

Driver: “Yes, it was there when I picked this trailer up..”

your company CAN BE HELD TO REPAIR ALL THE DAMAGED PANELS, CUZ THEY CAN SAY YOU DID IT, AND THIS IS WHY YOU RAN OFF..!!
