    What ended up happening with jct? I saw something about a service failure but I hesitate to believe that a service failure would get someone canned unless you were hauling organs for a transplant or something lol... Was that truck almost paid for and they wanted someone else to pay for it again or what?

    I don't think @scottied67 really did say; but my wife showed me a video (can't remember which one, dang me) where he was ONE SECOND LATE ... ON THE DRIVE LINE; should have been 'on duty not driving' because he was sitting in line; idling, and ..JCT called him into the office after that and gracefully had his stuff packed. It's in a video, I'm sorry I don't know which it is.

    They got me on 'breach of contract'. They said I failed to service them as a motor carrier. They referred to themselves as the customer/one to be serviced. I always looked at them as a business partner, not a customer.

    We did have a contentious relationship, my videos were often very critical of their operation and ability to keep me running. They pretty much kept me at 2000 miles a week on average, and I did express in a phone call that I thought they were trying to starve me out.

    Overall, I think that was true, but ironically, at the final sit-down, they expressed to me they were losing money on me because I wasn't running enough miles?!

    Truck was 3 years old with 382xxx miles times $0.23 a mile, original price was $156k and they said I could buy the truck for $96k at the end. Something doesn't add up too well.

    I would have quit sooner but I became comfortable like a frog on a stove pot of cool water as it heats up.
