    Got my license in November 2018 was hired in December. Left that job in July for more home time and new company has laid us off due to virus. Tough to find a job with only 15 months including school without going otr .
    Not sure if I want to do dumptrucks. Crazy times

    My biggest mistake was not getting my endorsements. Tankers seem to be hiring. Shame DMV is closed

    That's why drivers stress do your time otr for this exact reason. Sure you can go local straight out of school but this is what happens when #### hits the fan . Get a bare minimum of 6 months OTR.

    For job security, the best right now is refrigerated trucking.
    Infrastructure jobs are pretty safe, such as dump trucks and cement trucks doing interstate construction.
