Indeed. And people will tell you, "Well, in times like these....." and expect you to understand.

Truth be known, ya'll sucked long before 'times like these'. Now its just become a convenient excuse.

Big Orange is working on my last nerve as well. Light load out of Cincinnati paying $2 going 20 miles from my house gets 'canceled' because "they don't have the product."
Really? You mean someone booked a load without checking if they actually had the S?
BS.....college boys rolled in in the morning and said, we can't have this.

    Trying times my friends.

One in accounting that F' up the payroll two weeks in a row, no fault of me or the merry men, asked," So how's it going for you guys out there?"

I said," The only people that make it hard are the same ones that usually do, you guys."

She was pissed. Started blah, blah, blah.

The OM then told her," If we drove our trucks with the same efficiency and attention to detail the people in the glass tower use, there'd be 9,000 collisions a day."

She was not pleased. I told her, " You are the one that posed the question."

    SO

Booked 2 loads onto a truck.

Dude gets the drivers name correct, but books one on an incorrect truck, and the other on another incorrect truck.

    "Safety first."

We can do that because our attention doesn't need to be divided.

    SO

Had a PM done this morning. My bell housing leak is getting worse, and I'll have it re-gasketed when I get home.

    Here's the thing......

When I did the clutch wrench asked if I wanted it replaced.

I said no because it would have been an extra day. Money isn't the issue, had a load booked and didn't want to cancel it, especially on Friday.

I knew this is how this would play out.

    SO

Will that agent, and it's one we do a fair amount of loads for appreciate that? Probably not.

Perfectly legit reason not to do the load.

But it just didn't feel like the right thing to do.

    I........I........ah f it.
