Alright so where do you work? I mean you're seriously complaining about getting good miles? I'm OTR yet I'd be lucky to get 600+ mile loads. I usually get ####ty 300-400 mile live loads. Then the shipper takes 2+ hours to unload/load which eats up my 14 so I can only run maybe 400-500 miles that day.

If you got paid more for shorter miles I'd understand..but majority don't do that. You really don't have it bad.

 

I can save the government a whole lotta money. Here's the quick answer. They prefer hip hop. That's the crap they always have blasting when they pull up beside me at stoplights.

 

Between On Duty and doing a split sb, you have 5hrs a day that won't eat into your driving time. But you're also probably being paid cpm and have the mindset that you have to run more miles to make more $.

 

I have a guarantee minimum pay $1,000 a week. So I don't worry about the miles. We only do 300-500 miles most days. Depending if we have live load or live unload. If we run over 2,100 miles in a week then we get paid for all the miles we drive. Basically they are guaranteeing the first 2,100 miles. People might look at companies with guaranteed minimum pays. Normally I do $1,230 a week. That what I did last year. Home time kinda sucks in my opinion, but if you like working 70 hours in 6 days it's a steady pay check every week and never worry about making less then $1,000.

 

But there are always enough wicked for the rest!

 

Are you moving emergency loads, HOS exempt?

If so, it might simply be a temporary thing until this Coronavirus thing is a bit more settled.
