You dont sleep at shippers and receivers for a 10 hr break? Why dont you? I do it all the time. You had 7 days on, 3 days off then 11 on 2 off......I'm trying to to see the problem. That's an easy schedule. That's nothing. So many people want to make trucking a 9-5. Dispatch will call you sometimes...its a business. Trucking is 24 hours, 7 days a week. To me, local ain't what its cracked up to be.....those are long hours too, maybe longer if you have to commute.

Also 600 miles a day is nice.....that's most likely 1000 plus gross at minimum per week. You probably need to learn how to work.

While I can understand where you are coming from with most of this, calling a driver should not happen when the driver's data shows them to be in their 10 hour break.

If dispatch is calling him that often, then I have a sneaky suspicion that they are asking him to do things that they will not ask/tell him to do via messaging...

No. It’s just general freight. Car parts, tires etc.

I’m sorry if you’re ok with working like a dog but I’m not. Miles don’t mean money bud.
I’ve worked jobs harder then most people on this forum could believe. Then I got smart.

I see where you are coming from as well. I wont call the OP liar, but in my experience very rare does dispatch call on my 10. I could see if it was every single day, but I have a hard time believing it's that frequent....especially when night dispatch at so many places are about as clueless as an ant....more often than not, you'll here, "Get with your DM in the morning."

Miles dont mean money if you ain't working at the right place. Some places are designed strictly for you to gain some experience and move forward. Now dont for one second think many if us on here haven't worked hard jobs. Trucking is actually easy to me. I turn a lot of miles, as does many others on here, but if you know how to work and pace yourself, then you wont work yourself to death. Working local dont mean shorter days or necessarily even better money. It just means you're at home everyday, and judging by your post I think that's your biggest issue. The lifestyle dont work for everyone and that's ok. Every sector of trucking has value.

I have no doubt that there are plenty of companies out there who look the other way when dispatchers call drivers and ask them to run out-of-service, or use PC time incorrectly, run overweight, etc. In those cases, I would suggest the driver simply stop answering the phone and send in a text message that they dropped their phone.

Then, they should only answer calls from known, trusted numbers.
