Dang how did you do last month. I'd consider doing the dry van side but i would like at least 2000-2300 miles a week

    FerrissWheel Thanks this.

You won't get it while the country is in lockdown.
This is not a time to be greedy, it is a time to be realistic and make do - like everyone else.

If you are in a good place right now, stay there.

But even with all that is happening, I am in a good place.
My miles may be lower, but I have good people looking out for me.
At least for now. We never know what may happen next week, or tomorrow.

101 miles does not pay it. Only under 100.
And some of the really short stuff when I have been going on home time hasn't.
20 miles should have short haul, as well as the highest cpm rate. But several times, actually every time that I have had those pallet loads, there is no short haul and at my base cpm rate.

And that 101 mile load was actually 136 miles, so I got shorted by 30% even there.

FerrissWheel and Wasted Thyme Thank this.

I’m thinking we will get another surge once the first stimulus checks start direct depositing. It would be nice to see 2k miles, I’m at 1600 which was more than last week. Just don’t get a double whammy of going to California and then this stuff going on.

Edit I was able to wash half of my huge pile of dirty clothes at TA in Boise but that lot was full early got lucky, those washers seem bigger than normal too.

    FerrissWheel Thanks this.

    I love my DM.

As I was getting unloaded I got a pplan.
Picking up in Watkins Glen, NY going to Wisconsin for a Thursday delivery.
1050 miles to start next week off with. That should make for a very good week.
She didn't wait for or message the planners, she sent it to me herself.

I may go off on a rant sometimes, like my last post. But I am really taken care of here.
She also got me $150 layover pay for this slow week.

FerrissWheel and Wasted Thyme Thank this.

I think that is what needs to be looked at.
Not exact miles per week, but the average miles.
I ended up with 1650 this week, but I'll have 1050 on the first day of next weeks pay period.
A 3000+ mile week 'should' be a piece of cake, and what does it average out to?
    Over 2300 per week.

    FerrissWheel Thanks this.
