Thinking about giving up

I agree with answering known numbers definitely. You said a mouthful. I tell my wife all the time to let unknown numbers hit the voicemail. That way you know who's significant

 

Well, I can honestly say I’ve never regretted quitting a Job. Only regretted staying on longer than I wanted to. It’s obvious this place isn’t a good fit. Now you’ll have to weigh your choices., if any. Do what you have to, I wish you the best of Luck. Been there before.

 

You still haven't figured out how to turn your phone off yet?

Make them send you a message and you can read it when you wake up.

If you are ontime they really don't have much of a reason to be calling you.

Me either, heck, I had 2 jobs in a week once. Years ago, job hopping was no big deal. It was how I got to do all different types of trucking. "You know how to run one of these"?, the new boss would ask. "Oh, sure", and you figured it out going down the road. Most the time, it was the same crap, different shovel. Today, it just looks bad. Shame, in a time now when hopping to another job could really mean a better job.

 

I was up and rolling at 6am yesterday too. And I run a much more lax HOS clock than you. Between an AM jobsite drop off, an afternoon pick up that I had to use my mesh tarp on, I was parked 55mi S of my delivery for dinner and a shower at 7:45pm.

So how on federal HOS are you up and doing anything job related for 13hrs and then say you are being forced to drive all night?

 

I frequently find myself awake at 0600, no matter what time I went to sleep. Even with the curtains drawn and sleeper windows covered. Many a time I have woken at 0600, and started driving at 1200 or even later.

Yesterday, for example, I woke at 0600, started driving at 1100, and shut down at 2230.

Today I did manage to sleep until 0800, started my day a bit before 0900, and shut down at 1945. Shut down a bit early to get back on a schedule that let's me drive a full day and still find parking. Tomorrow, I roll @ 0600, and will shut down @ 1900.

 

I can understand you waking up early, but in those 5hrs before you started driving, you weren't on duty, you were free to go back to sleep or do whatever you want.

I wanna know what this guy did for 13hrs before he was "forced to drive" all night.
