    Hey, neighbors

The conditions of the roads are terrible, with less and less available places to eat, sleep, or go to the bathroom, how are you handling the situation?
I heard lots of people are trying to stay local and grab short loads that can bring money to the table but keep you close to your family until this crazy times pass.
What do you think f that strategy?
I hope you're safe and loaded.

    cjbrents and Rideandrepair Thank this.

it's 6 of one, half a dozen of another.

stay more local, more chances to get sick, (more contact with people) but medical attention should be closer

stay OTR, less chances of getting sick, but when (not if) one does, farther away from home, maybe even possible to be farther away from medical help.

I'll run nonstop if I get sick. Find every drop & hook or no-touch that my company has and live out of my truck. I have a 3 week old girl and I'll gladly live out of my 36" sleeper before I get her sick

While I am not in the biz yet. I'd have a bad toss up to deal with on this issue. My fiance has an auto-immune disease and COPD. So she's at high risk of at the best ICU, or the worst dying, if she gets it. So I'd hate to infect her if I was at home. But on the other hand. She shouldn't be going out to get things either. So I think I'd probably stay at home, self isolate, and deliver to her what she needs to stay safe and survive cooped up.

I'm at Sam's DC in Searcy AR. Mandatory infrared thermometer check to the forehead at the gate. They won't let drivers on lot if it is over 99.9.

If I get sick I'll be shutting it down and probably staying in the truck until I kill it or it kills me.

Congrats on the newborn little girl.

But if I go home I have a 63 year old sister to worry about. I would bet she is at more risk than your daughter at this point. I sure would not be going home.
The very young are much less prone to severe problems with this virus.
