Anyone else seeing reefer loads drying up?
I am sitting in Henderson Nevada with my reefer, my company don't have any load available for me. I thought reefer loads would be in high demand right now during this pandemic.

My freezer is soo Full of food from me stocking up over the last 3 weeks that I had to combine 2 different half empty ice creams to make room for my beer mug to chill.

There less loads and the rates have dropped. I just looked within 150 miles of Henderson and there’s 18 loads. All but 3 are less than 500 miles. The long loads are paying $1.40-1.60 pm

Las Vegas area is like FL. They buy a lot and produce very little. You don’t want to deliver in Vegas unless they’re paying you good money for the likely deadhead.

People have been using up what they "hoarded". Give it a week or so before they start buying again. Sort of like they did at the end of 1999. Sort shelf life is still moving well. Of course food service will be way down for some time.
WildTiger1990, tommymonza, Rubber duck kw and 2 others Thank this.
