I mean fair enough. I just can't picture wanting to be away from my friends and family for that long.

I have exactly jack #### in the way of shiny toys. I'm talking about the people and four-legged children I love.

 

There jealous. They'd never admit it.
How dare that other guy live in his truck,
Have no stress,piling up money in his bank account.
Doing whatever he pleases,whenever he pleases.
He's supposed to be beholden to monthly
Bills like the rest of us.

The truth is, if they didn't have a wife telling
Them they better be home with the kids.
They'd be doing the exact same thing.

What's the first thing a truck driver does
When he gets divorced and has to pay
Child support. You guessed it.
Goes on the road and lives in the truck.

They wish they had the money and freedom
Of those guys living on the road.
Been that way forever.

 

Ehhh. I'm not jealous, I'm just a homebody. And maybe I presume that most other people are that way also, but evidently that's not the case. No big deal.

 

Let me tell you something about this fella, I’m not the person to ever say anything bad about anyone but I actually reached out to Trucker Brown after watching all of his videos. Seems like he is very informative, wants to help, etc. I reached out for advice before I ever knew about this forum, the gentleman is a disrespectful prick. After spending 17yrs as an artilleryman in the Marine Corps, hitting the road putting in work is just something I’ve always wanted to do. No wife, no children, no bills/debt...why not? He seemed like a really good guy that wants to help through his videos but apparently having a YouTube channel puts you on a pedestal to look down on people and talk to them however you want. I never knew that but I am sure I will meet him sometime in person in passing somewhere on the road which will be a completely different interaction without talk. I have actually seen/done some crazy #### and been a few places throughout the years that isn’t for just anyone, doesn’t make me better than anyone NOR mysteriously give me the right to look down on or be ugly to anyone. Especially those seeking advice or wanting to be successful.

I completely lost all respect for Trucker Brown.

 

He seems like he'd be difficult to work with. But then again, some people might say that about me.

 

I have always enjoyed his videos and like you said he does seem to be informative and helpful. I can also see where he may come across as a prick. Is he back at Prime? I haven't watched his videos in forever because my job has kept me crazy busy during this virus.

 

There's a reason "Prime" is known as "Crime" "Slime" "Grime" and "anything but Prime!"

Aren't you suppose to log out of your logs when your done?

The trainer isn't even suppose know your credentials to even log in as you. So that seems to be an error on both of you and is something that should've been reported ASAP.

As far as the length and training goes. I don't think these carriers or driving schools hold rookie drivers long enough in training to begin with. You may be mad about how long it is before your out on your own but the proof is in the hoods laying on the ground in the truck stops in the morning. That a vast majority of new drivers have no business out on their own for a long time. Hell most of these trainers are rookies training other rookies.

Realistically these companies need to stop this team crap because your not being trained. I couldn't be a trainer in that situation. There is no way in hell i could go to sleep with somebody that has about 5 seconds experience driving.

 

You are exactly right. There is very little training going on. Prime is using the newbie for a warm body so they can run them as a team.
