Nah, they go by performance first. I'm guessing they had a target on their back to begin with.
How’s the LTL sector doing where you’re at?

We had at least a dozen road trucks left parked last night, by far the most I’ve seen outside of a holiday or snow day. Hopefully that doesn’t become a trend, because last week they were talking about only furloughing 1-3 road drivers. Either way, I’m still lucky to be in the middle of a lane that no one wants to be in, with basically no miles, because I’ve worked consistently every single day.
Radman, LPjunior1970 and McUzi Thank this. -
Basically 30% of our runs have been cut every night at my small SC. If a bid only has one and an empty it will get cancelled if the freight moves or not.

When freight levels drop, they find the most junior guys and "break our bids". That is, we lose our routes and start time and they force us on to the dock to work outbound with a 2 PM start time. They also have the right to call us in early to fill in odd ball runs like excess freight for specific routes.
That whole program is designed to guarantee us 40 hours a week, but basically gives them the flexibility to kick us around however they see fit. We do have the option of taking a hard layoff, which means to walk away without pay. When work comes back, they reinstate us with our full seniority.Western flyer Thanks this. -
Is it just less money.
I would think they would be happy to do their
8 hours and go home.
