Stole this from Twatter. Leased to Kaplan. I have never seen it around. Maybe @650cat425 might know it from his hood.

I've only seen it on pinterest and the like. Some of those Kaplan guys have some nice rides though...

Poor front insulation,(cold as f#$@ in a -10 or colder), a full wraparound insulated winterfront helped a bit.
All the walls are cold in winter to the point that you will run 2 heaters on medium fan/hot air to sleep.
The standard seat was a Bostrom Tbar, also known as the slingshot.
It did have wing/vent windows and after the first winter you needed a penny or two to shim them closed.
This is what I remember the most from a 3 month ride in one between a Freightliner coe and a K100 and they where all the same drivetrain specs, 290 Cummins 13 spd and 4.63 rears all on spring ride.

So how does one manage the pass thru gasket on that? Dont they leak wind and rain like crazy? Or do you have to somehow disconnect an accordian boot each time u tip the cab?

Sounds about right. The double over 13 i put in my 2ton IH came from an autocar logtruck with 290 and 5.xx rears.

My truck is on 9R22.5s.. I think only 37" rubber and 4.78 rear. With the .62 and a hotrodded dt466 itll still go 80mph. With a direct trans it wouldnt break 55.

Man the schlumberger trucks i drove were at 1900 at 65 with 22.5. That came out to 5.13 or 4.8 something if remember. 3.5mpg baby LOL but those 425/1650 dusted everything on the 2 lane steep WV hills

I had to bite my tongue in one of the killer corona beer virus threads. Unless we're hauling essential goods we shouldn't be working says somebody

@JonJon78 holy loss of words. I tagged you in fool
