    Hey Drivers,
I trained a guy at my current employer that was telling me about the AutoZone account out of Delaware, Ohio. He said the money was good and it was pretty much a daily job but some runs went over night.
Can anyone enlighten me with details on this account?

Also, could someone tell me about regional opportunities out of central Ohio? I run regional now and have no problem being out through the week. It all depends on the rate of pay compared to time out.

I am surprised that no one has responded to this. It has never happened before on this forum. Hmm

Autozone I'm pretty sure has their own private fleet. I've seen them on the road plenty of times before, similar to this pic......

I've also seen JB Hunt pull a couple of their trailers in the past too, so I'm assuming they might have a contract with them too.

UPS Freight Truckload on the other hand has the dedicated Advance Auto account. Not to be confused with the actual UPS Freight Union LTL side. Truckload is still part of UPS Freight, but they're Non Union and have completely different payscales that pays way less than the Union side. They tend to drive white tractors and are out days/weeks at a time......

Hope this helps. That's all I got :D

Thanks. I had the customer incorrect. The guy I trained made good money running days so it sparked my curiosity. He didn't say anything about union or not, is I would guess probably not. He was a brand new driver out of school, he'd been there only six months I think before they made him work weekends and he quit. I thought he was crazy for doing that.

Everything @Sho Nuff said is accurate. UPS Freight LTL does not do dedicated accounts like that. So it pretty much has to be UPS Freight truckload.

Ive seen only the black Autozone trucks here in Arkansas.

From my experience with Darden from FFE there is a certain pay for a period of time say one week. If it is worth doing against what we normally did with FFE is a question that usually does not answer until you dedicate somewhere long enough to understand what that check will look like versus what you are doing.

I am totally leaning on a bird in hand is worth two in the bush. If you are running a certain way and being paid for it stay with it. Grass is not always greener on the other side.

    LtlAnonymous Thanks this.

Yeah, being the low man on the totem pole would not be a great idea in this economy. Last in, first out.
