SOME TIMES auto transmission issues are caused when not shifting ''correctly'' from park>neutral> drive.
vs park to drive. that could have an adverse affect on cruise control unable to initiate.

    felin69 Thanks this.

I had a problem with my fuel gauge on a newer Pete and pulling the dash cluster fuse briefly to power it all down reset the gremlins. You might get the same results killing power to those sensors or the main computer.

As of yesterday my truck is doing this exact same thing. Can you advise me what the issue was. The transmission is still under warranty but I am not sure what the problem is. What was the issue with yours?
