There are no such things as "day off" for a holiday in OTR trucking....if you want to be off you put in for hometime and take Memorial Day off. If you want to work you stay out and work, or sit in terminal or truck stop which has been my experience with working holidays.

What I thought was strange was the day I came to Trenton to pick up my truck. All I did was tell them the truck # and they handed me the keys. No ID check or anything.MIT and IH Truck Guy Thank this.

I was through there later this afternoon and no signs of it, thank goodness. I'm barely gonna make the first stop of this load in the morning as it is.

I learned today that making a wrong turn in Pennsylvania can be a very bad decision. Roads built for carriages. All good but man that sucked. I’ve driven through Pennsylvania a thousand times and today was the day lol..

I did feel for him. The top rear of the sleeper was cracked up, I wonder if he had to stop suddenly and the load fell off or the other way around.

That was what I was wondering. I do remember something about paid holidays, but figured that was going to end up like the 3rd week of vacation they advertise.

There are paid holidays 6 at $50 each....and i have no idea what you're referring to about the 3rd wk of vacation they advertise?
