Don’t forget the lines to wait for the shower.
Then you got van drivers and flatbed drivers examples below.

Van drivers, usually also noticeable by flip flops.

Flatbed Drivers, also noticeable by dragging their feet and looking somewhat tired, and hungry because they had to work that extra hour securing and Tarping a load while the other just puts two load locks and shuts the doors.

Who has to wait for a shower? Run early and shutdown early. Problem solved. Works for parking too 9/10 times.

I can fuel at any chain truck stop. I choose Love's because of their driver reward points and their shower program. If I buy 1,000 gallons of fuel in a month I qualify for a free shower and free drink refills ever day next month. About the only time I fuel anywhere else is when I run up into the NorthEast with few Loves or they are far apart. My shower credits don't expire that month, like normal shower credits do after 3-5 days.

Before I went back to OTR I fueld during my home-daily driving job and brought $800 worth of Love's points. I've bought a $400 GPS, a $120 CB, 2 or 3 electric coolers, a couple of bluetooth headsets, dozens of leather gloves. I fuel almost every day, sometimes twice in a day, and I now have almost $600 in Love's points. I don't spend my points on anything but the above items. If you spend your points on food you can spend about a week or two of points on 1 meal.

I used to get a free shower at the Buckhorn Truck Stop somewhere in NC. I don't remember where it was but twice I stopped there and really needed a shower. When I asked to buy a shower at the fuel desk they just gave me the the key and some towels, like was the way it was done back in the 1990s. I made sure to go eat a sit-down meal in the restaurant to show my appreciation. Good food also.

You must not have a fuel card with a good discount. My company routinely gets .50-75 cents per gal. off of retail. Thats using an EFS Fleet card.

Ok...so the secret is out. You get one of them $20 month Planet Fitness memberships, park behind the Home Depot on your reset and jog over there. All the showers you want, no waiting, plus toilets in there.,and if youre not too dead arse tited...you can work out ,while you watch Seinfeld. Lol

Thats some good ol yankee ingenuity right there. Def a good idea if youre out in the middle of nowhere and need to wash the funk off.

I prefer to shower alone! Unless of course said driver is blonde or brunette and has more curves than a WV backroad.
