so 2003 freightliner century Detroit 12.7 no egr so few days ago while driving heavy load my intercooler went out hole in front started loosing lot of power replaced it and behind the air compressor I hear a hissing sound opened it up and replaced the little air lines alongside the flange that had it I can still hear some hissing sound around there and now my truck is loosing coolant checked all hoses cant seem to point out a leak . No coolant in oil and no smell of diesel in coolant also when I start it up no puff of white smoke but from time to time when taking it off in first gear or low gear I can see poof of white smoke from exhaust then turns regular dark what do you guys thing suggestions how to check or what to check

Could have a bad injector o ring. Did you replace the air compressor air intake line, from intake to compressor? Common failure, making a hissing noise, loss of Turbo boost.

A bad air compressor, can push air pressure, into coolant, and/or oil. Causing Radiator to build pressure, and overflow. or excessive blow by in crank case. A simple pressure test of the radiator, will tell. If it’s building pressure, you can isolate compressor and re test. All you have to do is take SS air line off compressor

Compressor has 5 lines. 1 oil supply, oil drains out of compressor into block. 2 coolant lines from the block,1 in and 1 out. 2 Air lines, 1 in ( from intake manifold, filtered turbo charged air) and 1 out,(Stainless Steel line to air drier)

Check your fuel tank for pink fuel if you have red coolant.
Check your fuel filter and see if it has a coolant-fed heater.
Check your fuel tank again and see if you have a coolant-fed fuel tank heater.

After that you might consider a Dyno. I think a dyno can help rule out bad injector cups or a cracked head, without opening the engine.

Coolant only has a few places to go... out of the stack, on the ground, a leak, in the oil, out of the overflow tube in the radiator. How much are you loosing? Start here, put a Gatorade bottle on the overflow tube to see if you are loosing it there

    Coffey and Farmerbob1 Thank this.
