They were actually a little too rare. Put them back on the grill for a couple of minutes

If your day sucked, on the bright side, you didn't go out dressed like this and caught with a camera...

If you want the swamp cooler even more effective? Thro some ice cubes in the reservoir. (older samp coolers had reservoirs). The newer coolers I have seen dont use the material that the antiques used to bring up the humidity. The new ones have a pump with nozzles. The pump builds up pressure and sprays the water out in a fine mist. Then the fan just moves the air about the room.

I haven't seen the new your talking about? I have seen misters. But? Just for interest sake. I'd like to see?
One I got. They actually made an 'ice cube tray" where the water is pumped up to. All the holes are there for the water to drop down to the pad. I'd estimate the water reservoir is about 5 gallons on this one. Yup... could just put a bunch of ice in that. I really like this one. I'm not having any reason to open windows with it. I know the way usual Swamp Coolers work. Open windows where you want the air to flow out. Also...unorthodox, I'll use my AC to cool the air in the house...AC is 1/2 of what is really needed for AC. This cools the air more. Here's the one I bought. I really like it.

The reservoir is the entire bottom of the unit below the silver horizontal strap.
Only one thing I am trying to figure out. We have very hard water. That pad is gonna get crusted up by end of summer. What can I put in the water to offset the calcium in the water? Just use rock salt? I know I can clean it with vinegar. But don't want to put vinegar in the water...don't want that smell in the air. ???

I do have to admit. This guy I'm working for is trying. Seems to be constant things that need to be done to this truck. Problems getting things done. Which uses more time. I've been taking too much time off. Told him that I needed to hit it hard to make my bills the end of this month. He asked me if I'd be willing to slip seat his third truck with the other driver. So he'd have three trucks with two drivers. Share the spare truck when stuff needs to be done to mine. I told him ok. After all.... neither of us us making money when not running.
Yes, he does lose his mind when things get tough. But he's trying.
Also... he's got pretty good connections with Bomgaars. We supply pallets to them. They give us broken pallets to repair. So they help us with doing runs for them. Otherwise most of their supply is done by Schuster. I like going to the Bomgaars stores. Most everybody is very down to earth and real. Good stores to deliver to. Always tight. But always workable. Never a mission impossible like xxxx in Minot.
