Personal conveyance can be used to go to Walmart etc, if at terminal for instance, I forget the limitation I think 30 minutes. The second part of the question, I would call and talk to safety and get authorization. One time, I was going to be 20 minutes shy of making it home. I called safety and asked what my options were, they allowed me to log off duty personal conveyance. I would just reiterate, get authorization, CYA.

We are allowed 50 minutes. There are several canned “reasons” on the Qualcomm including store, shipper/rcvr told me to move etc. I used it once to get to a recvr, about 20 minutes used, nothing said. BUT they were adamant about abusing it and taking it away. By far the most realistic PC of any company I’ve seen.mushroom1464, Silverdriver and runningman0661 Thank this.

Only 48 is available according to the first recruiter I talked to.runningman0661 Thanks this.

I was told by recruiter it’s 50 miles and then you get a warning... but it’s possible I misunderstood.
-
It’s not allowed to be abused as liberally as it is at your current/previous employer.mushroom1464, MidWest_MacDaddy and Silverdriver Thank this.

Thank you.

I now that someone from Safety during orientation came in to speak about it and somehow I just miss that part. The orientation they give is great really organized is just that in two day’s is a lot to absorb for me personally and taking also exams. (I’m not getting old
lol.) The ladies in the safety department are very helpful and want things done right. I have gotten messages saying your doing very good in your logs (not that I was doing something wrong) but please do this also. I like how this company operates no wonder they have been chosen as one of the best company to drive for.

I wouldn't put stock in that 'best companies to drive for' thing...the former boss that ran my company into the ground (Moore Freight) is now the boss at a company called TLD logistics and their trailers have the 'best company to drive for' but it says for 2020...last time I checked, 2020 isn't even half over...and he is an A #1 big Richard-head...so if they can be one of the best companies, it must not take much to get on the listjust_sayin Thanks this.

Without a doubt some companies are misleading people, but I can say that, in my personal experience, FCC is the real deal and do strive to achieve their outstanding position known by many drivers.cdavis188, gntorres61, mushroom1464 and 3 others Thank this.
