Carolina Cargo isn't a 2nd chance company any more. Company changed management or was sold, not sure which.

Thank you. I just called her. Kinda hard to understand the broken english, but she was real nice. Shes submitting my info to the insurance company monday. Hopefully I will be able to drive for them. 50-58 cpm says averaging 2500-3000 miles a week and if wanted to be home on weekends that would be fine. Or stay out as long as I wish

So the job that I called today out of Chicago making trips to Va said the job is 1099. I have never did this. Is there a simple solution to how much I should set aside for taxes? Do I need a business license ? Do I pay quarterly or at the end of the year ?

You can pay quarterly or yearly. Probably easier to do it every three months and a good rule of thumb is 25percent. Most likely you will have money left over. Good luck!

seek a very qualified CPA. he or she will recommend you set up a tax payment system. you could pay quarterly i believe.

you may over pay a little bit, and MAYBE not owe anything after you are paid up. if you under pay, YOU WILL be paying the difference. i would imagine if you over pay, you might get a refund, or that money gets applied to the next years first quarter.

someone else may know that, especially a well qualified CPA.
