Little update on pilot. Starting pay is 52cpm plus 18$ per car . The benefits are super cheap home time is 3-4 weeks out 1 week home. You get a CLC card and are paid layover at 150$ a day . They say the average driver makes 100k a year.
-
I don't see $100k with those numbers. Average 3.5 out, 1 week at home = 40.4 weeks on the road per year. If you turned 3,000 miles at .52 for those 40.4 weeks, that's $63,024. At $18/car, it would require the loading and unloading of 2,054 cars per year to make up the difference, or 51 cars/week.
They can say what they want, but the numbers don't lie. -
Looks like we have a winner. I always advise drivers to get all the numbers together and calculate their own average, that quote a company gives is if all the stars align
