I finally got the tray to mount my cb and am having trouble finding out how to tune the antennas. The CB is a Uniden pro 520 with a built in SWR meter if it makes any difference. I want to get this up and working before I move up to lug nut extensions, how do I tune the antennas?

 

Youtube has great videos for learning to tune cbs. I just plug mine in and hope it works lol. It’s been fine so far..

 

The manual says not to use it above 2 and mines an overachiever at 4. I wonder if I'd have to wear sweatpants and flip flops if I used it like that?

 

Lol you have been gone to long. They moved the drop lot to down the road and on the other side of the creek/river/sewage ditch. Probably quarter mile away now.

 

Dang I haven't even been gone that long! Lol ok guess its time i stop giving information...they used to have a different lot. Take a left at check in door, go down that lil "road" then turn right and it was over there, is that where you're talking?

 

I looked at those but can't figure out how to change the length of the antennas. There's nothing under the cap on top that does that, and the 2 bottom nuts look like the ones you'd use when adjusting valve's but don't work that way. What am I missing?

 

There's a 10 mile backup on I70 westbound east of Indianapolis due to construction now, glad I'm going the other way.
Well I was glad to be going east, there's a huge slowdown eastbound too.

I don’t know what it is about Wisconsin but cars travel in 85 mph packs about a mile long lol. And then there’s nobody’s near you for about 30 seconds until the next pack of cars comes. They get so angry when they come up on you when your passing someone..
