My drs appt for annual physical got cancelled due to the cold virus. I’ve asked others reckon how many has been killed by lack of care because they couldn’t get treated but yet nobody wants to answer it.

I was sick the last of February. Finally went to the dr and said I had a sinus infection. Fast forward about 3 weeks into March and I had every symptom of the cold virus but I had it before everyone got scared. I thought it was the flu. Nobody I was around got sick. It was going around where I work is where I got it. Nobody cared till one day some government agency said it was bad.

I’ve also never seen a nurse or dr wear a mask when I’ve went in sick. They don’t have a clue what might be wrong before they see me why didnt they wear masks then?

I always have asked lots of questions when I don’t understand something and when people get defensive about me asking a question I then get even more curious as to why they got mad if they were telling the truth. You see if one cold is contagious then they all are but yet only one is dangerous?? My ### is full of splinters. Lolol.

 

There is a major misconception regarding the masks and the whole social distancing thing. The mask does absolutely nothing to protect you. In fact I feel it can make it worse for you. More on that in a second.
All the mask does is ensure you are not spreading your so called contaminated droplets. Period. If every one wore 1, potentially it would work.
As you wear the mask it gets damp. The experts agree this covid likes damp. If you are walking around with a mask, and every one else isn't, that mask is a crap collector.
Most I see are not wearing their masks correctly. Not just the positioning, the handling. If you actually read what is supposed to happen, ie wash your hands, fresh mask, dont touch it, remove it, discard it, wash your hands. Any deviation from that you are contaminating yourself. Wearing it as chin bag, hanging from the rear view mirror, sitting on the seat etc, contaminated.
I'll bet 98% of people are not doing that. The masks are also being advised when you can't keep away from others only.
Their house, their rules. Don't like it, that is your choice and you are free to make that choice. Thank a veteran for that.
I do find the right wing left wing objective being a part of this discussion laughable at best.
Do I wear a mask? I don't go anywhere where the criteria for wearing a mask applies.
Except, I had some lab work done 2 weeks ago. Their house. I wore one as directed.

Having an attitude of "force me to do something, and I'll fight back" is asinine.

 

The hospitals here are definitely not being overrun. If anything folks are avoiding them. Dropped a friend off at the hospital a couple weeks ago. Left them there since I wasn't allowed in as well. Drove a couple blocks away to pick up a coffee. Got a text from them saying they were done. Literally 30 minutes from walking in to the ER to walking out. They said there were tons of medical staff just standing around trying to keep busy.

 

Asked my doc about a flu shot. His answer, "I dont get one." Just told me some years he gets sick, some he doesnt. Do you want one? I've never had one to date.

 

Fear is the greatest motivater. I honestly think (that means its my opinion) the world govts saw an opportunity to use this as a way manipulate people.

The issue with the numbers is they only report new and active cases as more people get tested. There are multiple reports of false positives, but for some reason that is being swept under the rug. As well as the fact that they are not reducing the # as people are recovering. So if there's 50k people sick, 38k of them get better, then 10k more people are reported to be sick, the number doesn't drop to 12k the raise to 22k, the number reported is 60k. Very very misleading.

Hospitals are getting state and federal $. The more reported cases, the more $ they receive. What is their motivation to report reduced #'s?

 

Well I will add this. In 10 years of wearing SCBA's (self contained breathing apparatus) for fire fighting with all kinds of rules. Never have I ever left a structure fire and not coughed and snotted black crap for a day or two. If that cant keep it out, I have little faith in a painter's mask.

 

I'm curious how you make the jump from 1- thinking that everyone is blindly following orders...because myself and those I talk to are making decisions based on what we read. Cuz god knows we don't have any reliable information from our govt. I understand that 1/2 of all people are going to be fairly or really stupid. Or gullible. Whatever. Somehow you see the stupid mouthbreather in his car in a mask as worse than the stupid mouthbreather in my face without a mask. That's where I conclude that you are under the mental co troll of a cult leader.
And 2- stupid people making stupid choices (over or under masking) means that you conclude wearing a mask is a government conspiracy .... and you should therefore resist the 1 tactic that globally seems to help....

So how far can the govt go with orders and commands before its too far?

"Sir, we're hear to confiscate your commercial vehicle because it does not meet our mandate that requires all cmv's to be under certain emissions requirements"

New Mexico has signs up saying masks are required everywhere or you will be fined. Do all of you agree that is okay? What if you step out of your vehicle and an officer sees you 10 seconds before you put on your face covering and writes you a ticket? Completely justified right?

I'll give you that on the numbers with more testing going on. But when hospitals were almost rid of all cases before "the up rising" as its called. And now those same hospitals are at or almost at capacity again. So I say again I will wear the mask when required. And I hope people will respect my rules when in my "world". And ill respect the rules of others that require it. I have first hand experience with this virus. Its not all hype !
