I don't know a thing about Michigan politics. Its a shame though. I do believe the most beautiful part of the country I have ever seen is upper Michigan. I didn't even know what a sugar beat was until I started driving. Friendliest most down to earth people I have ever met. I have never seen soil so black. Too cold for me, and I like the smell of swamp, but I will go to my grave saying it's the most beautiful countryside in our land.

I have pretty much moved back to Florida.

No income tax and 7% sales tax.

1/2 the price to register your cars though car insurance rates are about the same .

Florida Property taxes are super reasonable and you get a 50 thousand exemption with homestead so they can only jack up your value 2 % a year as opposed to Michigan s insane property tax rates

Wind and flood insurance sucks if your by the Coast, but that’s the price you pay for great public beach access the length of the state.

I’ll probably Miss Michigan’s Fabulous road system though.

Parked bobtail at a little Phillips 66 in Indy. Decent food out of the hot case.

Only ran 553 miles today and every mile sucked. I was pulling a reefer that’s louder than a Stuka in a dive bomb. The tri-axle trailer pulled real nice though. Didn’t sleep for ####. Every time it would start up I’d dive out of a window looking for a foxhole.

Still a better day than these guys I passed on I-70 East bound a ways outside of Indy.

Yea my childhood friends have a vacation home up on Lake Gogebic in the UP that I’ve stayed up at a few times, very beautiful area as a lot of the UP is.

Coastal Oregon does it for me though.

Yep. That was me. Did everything but backfire and blow the whole works up. Had to creep up on it just to hit the kill switch.
