Should I lower the trailer legs for a 5,000 pound load like it's empty or full? Or something different?

 

If you mean when dropping it for another driver I'd say somewhere between the 2 extremes leaning a bit more towards loaded. I'm sure there may be a difference of opinion out there but that is my suggestion.

 

I hauled a nice load. A whopping 6 pallets, 2500 pounds of plastic from Buffalo to Illinois. Almost couldn’t believe it after weeks of 44,000 pounders.

 

I'm just ready to haul something, somewhere.

 

I'm leaving the flooring business after 28 years so I gotta ask, what mill did you deliver the carpet from? Shaw? Mohawk?

 

I’ve picked up from both actually. The only 2 I remember was one by Cartersville, GA and one in Indiana. Not much else I remember lol.

Haven't been there in awhile so may have changed. Business is behind a printing business which is next to a cabinet business. Pull in between the printing and cabinet business and they are straight back.

You normally stay to the left of their building and loop around back coming out on the right side so you are facing out towards the printing place. Docks will be on your right as you pull forward and then back into whatever they tell you.

When heading down the left side of their building it will be tight so stay left towards the fence between them and the cabinet place as much as possible so you are set up to make the right turn around the back of the building.

Last time I was there the parking lot was all icy and those tight turns were pretty precarious. I couldn't make the 2nd right turn around the other side of the building because of the ice and the employee said my truck "should be heavy enough to break through the ice" when I asked that salt be thrown down. He acted like I was doing something wrong. Of course the icy parking lot was my problem and no responsibility was taken by their business. I finally was able to make it around after wasting time and nearly running into a dumpster conviently placed at the apex of that last turn. The dumpster might still be there but pretty sure you won't have any ice!

 

But other than that @MIT its a great place to deliver to.....lmao I've never been there but after that "glowing" description I feel like I missed out....lmao
