This past May (2020) traveling through Virginia (interstate) emporia district, got pulled flowing with traffic doing 83 in a 70 zone. Reckless driving. The funny part is back in January 2020 the senate passed a bill increasing the speeding limit to 85mph that didn't take effect until July 1, 2020. What trucking companies would consider me? I need cdl training. Which trucking companies can I contact?
83/70 Reckless Driver ticket- Would I be eligible

Beware, Greensville county Virginia , which Emporia is in, along 1-95 will nab your rear. In your case, the milk is already "spilled". Between Richmond and the state line on 1-95, it is best to be "on the mark".

If it's not too late, hire a lawyer to represent you. Maybe get it knocked down to a non moving violation.
You do not want this on your driving record as it is currently written.Coffey Thanks this. -
up the speed in VA to 85??!!!
don't think that's correct.Trucker61016, Bean Jr., Coffey and 1 other person Thank this. -

The maximum speed is still 70 in Va, what they did was raise the speed from 80 to 85 for reckless driving. I think the case we are talking about, the driver got the reckless driving charge before they raised it to 85. Most of the cases that I have seen on this type of reckless driving, have been lowered to a lesser charge. But a lawyer represented the defendant.Trucker61016, Bean Jr., Coffey and 1 other person Thank this.
