Hey folks say not sure if I posted this in the right section but just wondering does anyone drive or have driven for Costco ? Wondering a rough estimate for starting pay ? Our the benefits good ? What time do you start or is it varied start times ? Also what days do you have off or does that vary to ? I know each state is different as far as pay and maybe run times etc but just trying to get a ballpark about a few things. I was doing linehaul at FedEx Freight for a year and half I was on the extra board and it slowed way down before this corona virus hit and that was the dagger lol. So I went back into p and d for the time being until I think of the next place I want to go. I’m in Arizona and work 2 and half hours away from Phoenix Monday thru Friday and than go back to Phoenix on the weekend cuz my wife and kids are there. Our original plan was to move up where I’m at now but it’s to unpredictable being on an extra board so now we’re just gonna stay in Phoenix. Trying to get a good job back there by Spring time so I have an opportunity to get into Costco down there so just wondering if anyone is driving for them. Sorry for the rambling and thanks, Bryan.

Oh that’s not to bad that’s what I’m making at FedEx freight on p and d now. We don’t get any overtime tho. I think the top out is 29.50. Do you get any overtime in your area ?

Costco is big on no overtime, so whatever the rate is times 40 unless they have to work you more.

Where do you work 2 hours from PHX? I'm doing the opposite, would love to avoid going to PHX.

I'm sure you're accurate on the big on "no ot" aspect, as I'm sure most companies are, but I just think of the Costco DC in NJ and question whether they can keep a staffed roster under $30/hr with little to no O/T in NJ.

Oh that’s good to know. Yeah I wanted to get something with at least 1 to 2 hours of overtime a day. The trash industry is big on giving overtime but don’t want to get into that, been there done that earlier in my career. Yeah I was also thinking about Walmart but not sure if I want to be gone 5 days a week on the road. I’m basically doing that now but was trying to get back down to Phoenix now that I’m not doing road anymore. Oh I’m in Flagstaff and working out of the FedEx terminal up there. We were going to move up there my wife and kids but the road is just to up and down and I think going into this next Winter it’s gonna be worse. Where are you working at ?

Ya know that’s what I was thinking. I mean even at 30 an hour with no ot that’s like 240 a day. Take your taxes out and insurance and it’s not a whole lot of money. Up in Flagstaff we get maybe 35 to 38 hours a week. In the Winter that will drop down to maybe 28 to 32 hours a week. It’s hard to keep people on the city there. We had two drivers already quit about 5 months ago and now 2 to 3 more drivers are going from city to road. We’re hiring 5 drivers total for the road and bringin 2 more into the city replacing those guys. I don’t know my next move I’m just trying to find something stable and not up and down as much as Ltl is. We got drivers that have been there with a lot of seniority going from days to nights now. I just don’t like how up and down it is. One minute your working the next minute your not. I know you know how it is as well being with Fedex freight in the past, not sure how your yard was but anyway sorry for the rambling lol. That’s why I was trying to get info about Costco and seeing if there was any ot at all or if it’s a straight 40 as that might change my plans on going there.
