The problem with the Truckstop Pay.
You book a load normal with a broker that uses the service.

Unknowing about the extra charge.
All paperwork is processed the same.

Then the broker says" Truckstop Pay" will pay you. Well OK, I don't care who pays me as long as I get paid.
Now, to get paid you have to sign up to Truckstop Pay and agree to their terms or prolong the pay process. Using Pay added at least 7 days to the pay period.

And as mentioned an additional charge is deducted.
This process may have changed since I used it. Any loads that are listed using PAY I haven't called.

 

What brokers use this? I haven’t come across this yet, that I am aware of.

If you use the Truckstop loadboard .
The column listed PAY, if that broker has a green check mark. They use the PAY service.

 

Is the DAT load board not desirable anymore? too expensive??

 

I see very few brokers that use that service. Zmac is one I know uses that service.

 

*GASP* - (falls out of chair).

The $1.00 charge to remove funds from the Comdata card to deposit in the bank is one.

$1.75 for using aforementioned card.

$2 to use TRANSFLO, to scan in documents.

$22 to the permit company per state order. On top of state fee.

Then a % charge they charge LS for paying monthly.

Then LS tacks on $5/state for “WHO KNOWS “.


It’s never ending with the leeches in this industry.

All I can do is laugh when agents baulk at a rate - because at least I’m not left with paying the nickels and dimes at the rate they think is fair.

@Ruthless and @Old Man have taught me to focus on the higher income for quality service so you can ignore the pennies in expenses, that - will always exist, but drive you nuts if you focus on them.
