Well, it took a whole month but it finally happened... almost... dropped in Sumter, SC... grabbed the empty... pretripped it and was about to roll home for three days R&R... thought, maybe I should lock it since it will be sitting for a couple days... went to get my lock... what? Where is it? ... start scratching my head a bit...

Yup, it was still on the loaded trailer... good thing I thought about it before leaving... lol

Yeah, I have left my locks on dropped trailers before. Then, I bought my own lock, similar style that FCC uses. That stopped that Shiznet.

The easiest way to never drop a locked trailer is to buy one of these

    IMG_20200803_105147.jpg

Then hook the key for your lock on one side of it, then clip it to your B/L. When you get out, you have your bills and a key to remind you. I left one of those high dollar round locks that go over the entire flip latch on an Arnold drop trailer once...got a nasty call from my DM at the time a couple days after I had gotten home (90 miles away from the drop). The receiver went to open the door and found my missing lock. They had to cut the flip over part off with a sawzall...needless to say, my paycheck came up a little short that week after I had to pay for the repairs (I was an O/O)
