Just split your truck cargo , you can have cargo on your truck 50k and new truck 50k ... Or 40/60 ...ask your agent !

    Newbieboy Thanks this.

Don't have to have cargo. Of course no one will load you without it.

    A joke, right?

Get a new agent, the cargo insurance is broad to the fleet.

Call Ooida or someone like that, that knows truck regulations, they do truck insurance and can answer questions to what you’ll need.

Agree with your point. I already have cargo and auto liability... all i need is to insure my other truck.

Due to your filing, you HAVE to have liability on both units, with the same insurance carrier. Other than liability, other coverages are your choice.

If you owe money on the unit, you will need phys dam......and a loss payee.

Cargo applies PER POWER UNIT, so presumably your load broker will need evidence of cargo on the new unit as well.
