This past May (2020) traveling through Virginia (interstate) emporia district, got pulled flowing with traffic doing 83 in a 70 zone. Reckless driving. The funny part is back in January 2020 the senate passed a bill increasing the speeding limit to 85mph that didn't take effect until July 1, 2020. What trucking companies would consider me? I need cdl training. Which trucking companies can I contact?

Beware, Greensville county Virginia , which Emporia is in, along 1-95 will nab your rear. In your case, the milk is already "spilled". Between Richmond and the state line on 1-95, it is best to be "on the mark".

If it's not too late, hire a lawyer to represent you. Maybe get it knocked down to a non moving violation.
You do not want this on your driving record as it is currently written.

The maximum speed is still 70 in Va, what they did was raise the speed from 80 to 85 for reckless driving. I think the case we are talking about, the driver got the reckless driving charge before they raised it to 85. Most of the cases that I have seen on this type of reckless driving, have been lowered to a lesser charge. But a lawyer represented the defendant.
