Charlotte nc I have 2 stops to put off tomorrow and this “adventure “ will be done. If it wasn’t for that bug going around I probably would have been done Wednesday.
Rocks Thanks this. -
Saw my vehicle today... the restoration is almost all done... Their work is the best.
But not so happy they replaced the old miscellaneous with new ones... like the grill on the front, the clearance lights in the back, the headlight casing, the names on the sides... still all original but all new...
I can understand... they wanted to "surprise" me... since the vehicle now looks SO GREAT... looks like new...
But the old ones were fine... just old but not broken... They said they new parts were "cheap"...
For me cheap means FREE.. if it is not free, it's not cheap...
And even if it's free, if I don't need it, I don't want it...
They said it was all "only" $200.00... $200.00!! that I will have to pay... Wasn't happy.
Told them I didn't authorize them to do that.. Actually, I told them to use the same old miscellaneous parts... not to break them when removing and put them back...
Now I will keep the new ones they put on the vehicle already and will keep all the old ones...
Shoot... hate to have to make room for all those vehicle parts... Told them to never replace anything without asking the customer first.. After all, the customer is the one paying...
The vehicle looks so nice now that I will have to put some anti-theft system in it and / or buy an insurance and put a value on it.... and rent a covered parking storage for it...
Not even sure if I will feel comfortable driving this vehicle out there...Last edited: Aug 20, 2020

Finally... I have my butt planted on the couch. I just finished sending the paperwork in and I didn’t think it was going to go through it was 35 pages and 29mb. I think that’s the largest trip I’ve had, as far as paperwork. The bad part is that I have more paperwork to do, but it will have to wait until tomorrow. I’m still tired from Monday

The most stops I had between pick up and deliveries in my life were 10... I pick up a load at a WM DC in NY and had 10 deliveries at WM supercenters in Long Island, NY... did it all on Saturday and Sunday. It was rush rush to get in and out within business hrs and noise ordinance hrs... Got one WM manager's authorization for me to park there overnight and after my last drop, rushed to NJ and faxed all the paperwork to load planer who was AMAZED with my performance.... told her not make that a habit.. I hate multiple stops...Wasted Thyme and 062 Thank this. -

All right class... what did we learn today?
I learned that I’m not as young as I think I am... and it’s possible to get heat stroke if you’re hardheaded and don’t use your brain
Ps I’m enjoying the ac for a few minutes, then I’ve got to grease the truck and adjust brakes.Rocks Thanks this. -

Went to my storage today and organized my empty boxes... it may seem "weird"... but I have many empty cardboard boxes of different sizes... they will be very useful if/when I move somewhere...
I have gotten rid of some things and needed to re-organize my storage...
I could make some money offering organizing services at a cost to each person that stops by my unit and tells me how nicely organized it is... But I am not done with mine yet...062 Thanks this.
