They are out there, ran across one out of Missouri, trying to remember the name of it. Driver was getting his APU repaired, he said all they do is refrigerated hazmat, they have about 50 trucks.
Any hazmat reefer companies?

This is one I couldn't remember.

Do you take owner operators or just company drivers?
-
I know I'm going to regret asking this, but why would munitions require temperature control?
-
I'm not really sure, I suppose extreme heat could possibly not react well with ammo and the like. A married team with Landstar that I talked to at a shop listed pharmaceuticals and munitions as things they haul in their reefer. They also explained that those loads require teams.slow.rider, Mooseontheloose and RockinChair Thank this.

Not all the loads require team. And not all munitions require reefer. I hauled gun powder in dry van before with absolutely no problem and solo.Mooseontheloose Thanks this.

to avoid excess heat that might degrade the performance of something like a missile fuel. The old reliable explosive 'Gun Cotton' [Nitrocellulose] is transported submerged in Isoporpyl alcohol to avoid reactions. them munitions have all kinds of freaky stuff...Ke6gwf, slow.rider, Mooseontheloose and 1 other person Thank this.

Back in the day, hauled Hydrogen Peroxide in a reefer, over 50% (lab grade) is temp sensitive, becomes unstable.
