I didn't think we could refuse loads, I thought we had to take whatever they gave us.

Does anyone know how to get the maps in the omnitracks updated? Or get the navigation part turned off until you turn it back on again? It's distraction to have it keep telling me I've exceeded the speed limit and to please slow down when I'm not speeding (usually 10 - 15 MPH slower than the actual speed limit) in an area where omnitracks shows old construction zone limits or just wrong numbers.

Not sure that we can either but I'd sure try on that one. I don't complain to my dispatcher about anything so hopefully if that came up he cut me some slack. No guarantee.

You'll have to deal with it a few days but it will eventually stop. That's my experience with it. I used mine today because I was in unfamiliar territory so I'll be dealing with it for a few days now. I usually only turn it on in those situations. The rest of the time it is just my truck Garmin augmented with Google to catch notices of accidents or other traffic issues.

‘You can turn off the speed notification in settings. Even with updated maps the speed limits are sometimes wrong.

    JOHNQPUBLIC Thanks this.

the last time I went there, we had to go in through the outdoor and putting our nose out the indoor wasn’t possible. It was tight.

Well did my 1st delivery today under my own authority.....and after I google the address for where I'm delivering to it shows a correctional facility at that address....wtf that can't be right these are bent tubes going somewhere to be powder coated.....call the # on the bills and guy starts laughing when I ask where I'm going..."he says yes you're delivering to a prison the broker didn't tell you that"? Uhhh nope he left out that info lmao. Apparently this is a manufacturer inside the prison where the prisoners get to work.....definitely an interesting 1st day of my own authority lmao

I ended up getting 1 of the 2 remaining parking spots after finding another place on the GPS that made me wonder if a truck could fit in there with minutes to spare on my 14 hour clock because this was the only place for miles from the shipper. I'm getting better at doing that, I wish I could go back to getting better at stopping sooner. Lately things have been all hurry up and wait with plans changing as the wind blows.
