Schneider alcohol test

I'm not with Schneider but I imagine they do it like everyone else. A standard DOT UA test. Don't get drunk for a couple of days before the test and all the alcohol will be out of your system.

 

I wouldn’t have anything to drink while at orientation either........

 

I'm guessing it's just a standard UA alcohol test. No idea why the other guy is saying a few days, last company I worked for told me I could have a beer 8 hours prior to the test.

I did just that, and passed. I'm guessing they are just checking to see if you go to the test drunk.

 

When I went to orientation, Schneider considered that business and asked you not drink during you time there.
Of course the next day a guy showed up half drunk to class, they had him do another alcohol test and washed him out.

 

If you are in their truck they can make you take a random alcohol test at any time, if you are off duty at home not under a load they can not ask you to take one till you are put under a p/u for a load is how it was told to me when my co. call me to take one?

Typo, I'm sure you meant "wouldn't" have anything to drink. We laugh, but I bet it's been done. Let's see, Schneider,,,urine test, hair follicle test, alcohol test, what about an "idiot test"? My goodness, they must haul some high end stuff. Nah, axx wipe and diapers. You see how silly this all is?

 

Carriers can test for alcohol either "Officially" or "Unofficially" I have seen safety critters using the portable testers unannounced! In fact, I used to watch a small fleet owner test his drivers several times a week.
