I hate getting up early and do not like working during the day - too much traffic and too many people out. I dont have any experience in trucking but is there a way I could become an owner operator that works locally and works overnight (like 10pm-6am or so). Id like to come up with a business idea (owner operator) where I can do something like this. The market should be there in theory as most people do not like night work. Any help?

I don't know about the O/O part, but lots of trucking jobs do night only. Most freight outfits run the trucks at night, so the stuff is at the dock in the morning to be delivered during the day. Gas tankers run at night, grain hauling, stuff that doesn't require anybody else to load or unload, but just about everything else requires day travel.

get a job working nights on the dock of an LTL company. Yellow freight, SAIA, Southeastern freight, Old Dominion.
some do "dock to truck" training. -
If you think outside the box a little theres a lot of stuff done over night. Refuse collection and grease trap emptying at restaurants are some things that are done. Lots of gas and foodservice work as well, trying to avoid crowded parking lots. Some overnight road work also, although I don’t know what area you call home, that could be winding down for the season. I’m not sure how any of this would play in to you being an O/O, but if the night shift is what you desire, it’s definitely to be had.

Around here in PA the dry bulk tank work is mostly done at night. Just too much traffic in daytime. A lot of milk haulers run at night.
