I don't know if this is in the correct area but here it goes. I'm a new otr driver but have maintained a cdl driving class A local for over 20 years. Now have 6 months otr reefer experience. Training companies is about all that is available to me at this point until I aquire a t least 1 year experience. The question is Pride transportation or Navajo express as a company driver ? I'm looking for long runs and equipment that doesn't break down frequently. That is why I departed the prior reefer company I worked for. I tried but the company would not give me another tractor. I let the DM the shop, fleet manager and finally the person in charge of tractor assignments, I needed to get out of this tractor because it was negatively affecting my pay. I was forced into a corner and made the decision. 7 times in shop in 2 months. 3 times for the same problem and 2 times for another problem shop ,"fixed,". Plus other problems with the tractor. I can tolerate the BS that goes along with otr but bad paycheck and bad equipment I cannot. Both related. One old timer once told me, " get a bad dispatcher and a good truck your dead in the water or you get a bad truck and a good dispatcher your dead in the water.
which otr reefer company?

My domicile is northern Texas but I prefer the company to be in and run from the west due to my son's health condition that started about 1 year ago. Once I get with a company I'm compatible with I'm going to move towards Oregon.

I had a very brief stint with Navajo, and would never recommend them.
