I'll be 71 next month and my insurance has been going down, probably reflecting the cars getting older. Haven't had an accident claim in 40 years. Only a few for glass and one for hail damage.
Bud A., drvrtech77, mjd4277 and 1 other person Thank this. -
The last two jobs I had, I told both that I would not be their most productive driver, but I would be one of the safest. At 61, I know my reflexes & brain functions have slowed, therefore my actions (productivity) has slowed. I dont take nearly as many chances as I did in my earlier years. I dont get in nearly the hurry that I used to. I let those younger guys do all the hard running.
I was upfront with both employers that I wouldn't run as hard & try to keep up with his high production (or even mid production) guys. I'm going to get my load & take my time. Like the turtle & the rabbit. Being the turtle, I am slow but steady. I know I cant afford to go very fast & take chances any more.Bud A., peterd, drvrtech77 and 5 others Thank this. -
