I'm leased onto company whose mc # got suspended. Boss says it got suspended last night. Now I'm stuck at the nearest truck stop waiting to hear back when it will reactivate. Why do mc # get suspended?
I'm thinking he didn't update insurance info and it got suspended.

Insurance is the number one reason. Failing to submit the bi-annual update, bad audit results or failing to respond to an official inquiry can also result in suspension.

Depending on what the suspension (revocation to be technically correct) is for it can be resolved in as little as 24-48 hours or may take weeks to months.

Or failure to pay fine from an audit.

Patience pays but at some point I would consider dropping the trailer, assuming it is not yours and take some tape to cover up all ID on the truck and roll home.
I will be eating popcorn to see how this turns out.

If the company doesn't have a really good excuse within a few hours, cut your losses and get out. Cover the numbers on your truck and PC home. Hopefully you're not under a load and also hopefully your liability insurance isn't through them or you can't move the truck for any reason until it gets straightened out. Anybody who's dumb enough to let their number expire isn't somebody you want to work for.

Something is going on with MC’s getting suspended. Landline had a headline on Facebook a few hours ago but I didn’t think much about listening to it. Go see if you can find it.
