APU Reset

I’m currently having more problems with this POS APU. I finally got it fixed after my last reply in here, it turned out the idiots at the KW dealership screwed the APU up so badly they had to replace the circuit board. After 3 months it’s started the crap with shutting down with and “engine over heat”. I unplugged the wired at the temp sensor at the engine and tightened the connection and no problem after that.

now the HVAC blower will not work. The generator status on the controller shows the lightning bolt just fine, and it goes to the correct screens for ac, heat, and fan only, but still no fan operation. Checked the belt, fuses and red button inside the motor housing, all fine. The only thing I can find is in the service manual the fan itself has a 250v 3a fuse.... good luck finding that in a truck stop, and being the weekend the carrier dealers are all closed.

 

Yeah there is a glass fuse on the board, but my guess would be your capacitor for the fan is bad. Just would be my first guess without taking any look.
