Left Santa rosa with an empty box at 0630 got to woodland at 0915. It was windy and damb gusty. left woodland 1000 headed to Eureka. Didn't see a need to shut down the roads. But then again it was nice to see the whole right side of my trailer

Well, about 5 years ago I did manage to get out of a dock I should never have backed into by doing just that.

It had just started to snow, and that's always dicey when it's right around the freezing mark. Against my better judgement I backed down into a dock of a regular pickup customer, who unbeknownst to me had all left early to beat the impending storm.

I went to pull out and couldn't make it. I backed up, locked in the power divider, put it in 3rd, took off and floored it. I was looking out the back window to see if I was getting anywhere, and judging by my line of sight of the concrete past the catwalk and spinning driveshaft I was definitely making progress, albeit slow.

It took about a half hour, but I eventually made it out of there.

That's the problem with our east coast snow. We seldom get that good to go powder. Just dicey 28 degree snot on the bottom stuff. We do make the best snowballs though.
