I hear you. A number of the reasons we left.
No offense, please consider any other states than Utah, Idaho for relocating to.

    Here’s a good phone call.

“Hey, Um, when you get that off you want another one of those loads?”

    me “No.”

    “It’s still 40/ton.”

    me “For sure, No.”

“Why?? It’s got a good rate?”

me “It had a good rate, but 300 mile DH to load and drag it 300 back down cuts it in half, and they probably won’t have any product ready today anyhow. No.”

    “But what if..”

    me “You’re.... cut...out.....can’t...you...” click.

    So.
Before I could type that up, he calls back.

“I need you to DH to Tallulah La, for a load of milo(great little itchy load) to Ar, then reload in Stuttgart back to Ms, and another load of the itchy milo back.”

me “What’s all this itchiness pay? Anything extra?”

    “I’ll get back with ya.”

    I guess I ask to many questions..:p

This fly in here now is an annoyance, Frank and I had an understanding, my side of cab, his side.
The one in here now, Rodriguez, he’s trying to take over.:(

One guy cut a hole in his floor and put a funnel in it, and use to take a leak.
When he died we moved his truck and trailer back to his daughters house and seen it.

I have 5 acres, why would I want more? My property taxes are the same as they were when we bought this 45 years ago....Prop 13....besides, 10 years ago, we decided to put this in Trust, our grandchildren will inherit this property....our sons have proven to be not so "future thinking", and we want to be secure in the fact that they won't be able to rip this out from under the family and future.
I don't need any more debt, we have 3 quarters up in ND that we used to actively farm, dealt with all those headaches long enough, we now rent the acres to a very hard working family whose father was our caretaker and farmer and old famiy freind. That income, along with my SSI maintains both properties as far as taxes and utilities along with some profit...plus somegood investments over the years...we are set and relatively enjoying our retirement.

I love a mad yard dog. The docks are tight, but not that bad. I think I did 3 little pull ups to get it straight. The docks got those cement and steel channels you’ve got line up with right next to the dock.

Anyway Mega dirty truck spends 20 minutes not getting in the hole. The yard dog yells and the something mega moves. The yard dog pulls a trailer so Mega dirty truck can get in.

No dice. Still can’t get in.

30 more minutes pass still no joy on docking that thing. Mega dirty truck yells back at the yardie. All I can see is the yardie yelling at the dirty truck. The yard dog yells to the guy to drop his trailer. Yard dog sinks it at speed and never stopped talking ####.

    LOL. He was pissed.
